Embroidered Lavender Sachets

In this workshop you’ll learn how to embroider a monogram or short phrase on a vintage linen hankie, that you can then hand-stitch into a lavender filled sachet. This class is beginner-friendly (no previous sewing skills necessary) and ok for ages teen+. Registration covers the cost of all supplies.

Stained Glass Workshop

Saturday, April 11, 1:00-3:00 pm

We are so excited to welcome Lexi from Driftless Glassworks for our first ever Stained Glass workshop. In this class, you will create a one-of-a-kind honeycomb stained glass piece. Lexi will provide background information about stained glass before teaching the group to foil and solder their own piece. You will leave this two hour workshop with a finished project, ready to display.

Color Pop Collage: Farmyard Collection

This one is bright, bold, and a whole lot of fun. Join us at The Stitch for a day of collage using these colorful Farmyard panels by Delphine Brooks. These animals are full of personality, and this project is a great way to try something different and get creative with fabric. We’ll work through layering and placement as you build your design and watch it come to life. It’s a fresh, hands-on project that lets you play with color, shape, and texture in a whole new way.

Cruisin’ to the Square

Thursday, August 13: 4:30-7:00 PM

“Cruisin’ to the Square” (formerly Hot August Night) is always the second Thursday of August with the rain date on Friday. Hosted by Jefferson Matters and organized by Chuck Wenthold, Pete Bardole, Jill Morton, along with committee members, invite people of all ages to spend the evening admiring all types of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and antique tractors parked around the historic downtown square and on adjoining streets. Registration is online and completely free. Participants can register on the day of the event. Prizes will be awarded to the vehicles in various categories. A Poker Walk event is also offered, with prizes awarded to the top Poker hands. A grilled picnic supper will be served by Jefferson Matters.
